Yeah, I have seen this site before ... and this site has a lot to do with the reason I would never want a 'too ... they are cute for the first 18 months, then ... well, all heck breaks out ... :34:

Yeah I spend a lot of time looking at that site, its awesome, and one everyone thinking of a too should read. I know a few people with toos that are loving, gentle cuddly and all the other things people think about when they think of Too's but come that mating season and boy they turn into something completly different. I would love a too but will never have one (through choice)

I have always wanted a Too, my dream bird I guess you can say. And it would have been one of those fids I would have taken from a shelter... I would be able to handle the biting and the screaming and all that attention because my plan would have been to get it when I had a home of my own. But one thing I know I wouldnt be able to handle the plucking.. yes I can handle a "naked" fid, but I dont think i could handle plucking to the point of bleeding. That would just rip me apart, and now I am leaning toward not get one, but I would look into it further when the time come, and I am like 50+ yrs old... kind of like Peta's age  LOL :D j/k
And even then I would think of a bonded pair, so they would have each other.. I dont know, I have deff had a change of heart in a way :(
Feel so sorry for the little guys.

We live in a Cul-de-sac, and all of our neighbors in our circle could hear our cockatoo in the summer, while in their house. In the winter, with all of our widows closed, only the two houses on either side of us could hear him, yet again, while in their house with their windows closed also. Beautiful and Charismatic, but oh so loud.

A little while ago, we went to visit with a breeder friend of mine (she doesn't have greys :( ) who had some B&G and Toos, I was watching them all playing and boy can they be loud (it wasn't screaming just playing) but imo I think the toos were louder, even when just chattering away normally they seemed louder than the B&G

I know people with toos on other forums, even a person with a mollucan! anyway they basicly all said that site was like bringing out the bad in ALL breeders which is true i see that too. Other people have that mytoos hates all people who breed birds, and even own them because they think we're stupid people who cannot treat our birds well. which i sorta see my self if you read the letters. the person with the mollucan said that yes you can screw up with them very easy (specially the velcro bird part) but if you handle them and care for them then are a doll of a bird. But she did still say its still a good site to visit before you get a too just so you know what they can end up like.
