Not to take away from Mikey's new baby. I just had to post this special baby. The poor little thing just came out of the egg & is still wet.

Im excited to see your baby grow, keep pics coming. I would love to see the process of the too!!! Are you letting the parents feed at all or are you handfeeding from day 1? Im waiting for 2 week mark to yank, it be a lot easier on me since I work often. I like to yank at 1 week mark when I used to raise them. But I've done it from day one too which I prefer not to.....

Thanks. But it isn't exactly my chick, i just foster it until it's big enough to go home. So it's hand rearing from day 1. I help other breeders out who have problem parent birds & if left in the nest would surely die. I would prefer to have them at 2 to 3 weeks as well. When i take my Eclectus chicks they are already showing color so about 4 weeks old. Much easier on my time. Feeding baby birds every 2 hours takes its toll after awhile. But it is rewarding to watch the little guys strive where otherwise wouldn't have made it.

LOL Mikey I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.

Well we have survived the last 24 hours & my little ball of fluff is thriving. He/she looks so much better now it's dry. A bit like your chick Mikey only bigger.
