A question for anyone with personal experience with a Bare Eyed. I have a female Bare Eyed that is just fledging and of course being weaned but before you know it she will be ready for me to go get. I had her cage all figured out till yesterday when I call King about this cage. King's Cages - Avian and Pet Bird Cages, Supplies, Food, Toys, Perches, Aviaries, Pluck No More
When I asked about the 5/8 inch bar spacing they said they do not make it in that size anymore. One inch only. I was a little afraid of the one inch and her being able to get her head threw the bars and hang herself. Called the store and they said one inch was really to big they thought. 3/4-5/8 is what they recommended. Well I got to looking at King and Avian Adventures and all the bigger cages seem to be in one inch. I don't want to put her in a smaller cage but don't want her to hang herself ether. What cage and spacing do you keep your BE in? Thanks!
