hello!
I'm new here and this is my first thread c:
I just got a new galah! he's 6 months old, I'm new to cockatoos to be honest so I'm confused about a move he does like daily and i don't know what's the meaning of this!

it's the same move this galah does with the same screams!
is he happy or crying?

What a cute video My quaker loved it and started screaming right along with Galah:D Happy sounds. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new baby bird:)

Yep, he's just full of beans and happy about life :)

They will sometimes do something similarish but it sounds angry/coarse/very guttural... which means they are frustrated, I call it the galah tantrum. Its also nothing to worry about, they just need to let out their frustration somehow. :)

There are ways to distract them from it if you really can't stand the noise, but it is best to let them get it all out :) Its a part of their overall personality. Toys they can destroy or roll about on the floor with will help them get rid of excess energy which may decrease happy dances or frustration flip outs.
Also if you want to distract, figure out what times they are likely to have their afternoon/morning sillies and make that feed time or bath time. :D

Otherwise... enjoy their awesome silliness! :D And thank your lucky stars you do not have a corella....
