New Cockatoo Owner

I took on ownership of a cockatoo from a friend who was unable to keep him.
His name is "Dundee"
Dundee was previously owned by a friend of mine's grandmother...
she passed away and that is why my friend had him..
Anyway, I helped out and now have a cockatoo that is between 10-30 years old, no one knows for sure...
I have had him for about 4 months and for the most part he has been a pretty good bird & new pet..
However, he did bite me once when I first got him & he bit my roomate once.
For the most part he is great, but when he seems bothered he gets aggressive..
I was in the room playing with him yesterday & he was running around on the floor with me, when I called him to me, he came running full force, and attacked my foot...thank god I had shoes on...LOL but he has never acted like that before... now today he still has an attitude & I don't wanna chance getting bit by him again...it doesn't feel too good! I use to let him on my hand/arm until he bit me, since then i only pet him on his cage or when he is running around on the floor... I dunno.. I really like the bird & would like to get back the trust to let him back on my arm but how long should i wait...I have seen his good & bad moods..lol he is VERY VOCAL!! lol

Something for every new too owner or too wanna be owner!!!! They tend to have floor aggressive issue so shoes is always advised while they're on the floor. IF you can get him on a play stand, that would be a better deal! Do you know what type of Cockatoo he is???

Depending which sulphur crested, you can tell by their eye color! My female lesser sulphur crested is a sweet angel.....
