Hello,

Here is a Kingy, KingParrot_zps36741763.jpg Photo by CRB60 | Photobucket The funny thing is he took the corn left out for a Possum, and started to eat it above a Ute ( pick up ) we were loading. He dropped it and hit my Mate ( buddy ) on the head.

I have some other Aussie bird Pics you may like, BlueWren_zpsea670e76.jpg Photo by CRB60 | Photobucket There are a number of common names for the same Bird.

The next is this, Platswan_zps1d6596b1.jpg Photo by CRB60 | Photobucket We have Black swans, and the swan is chasing a Platypus. They are the only venomous mammal, and lay eggs like a bird. Birds chase them, and as they dive small animals rise and the birds eat them.

Here is another KP I have linked. http://s1290.photobucket.com/user/CRB60/media/KPcropped_zps28a1a4dc.jpg.html

Hello,

He did like him, as he feeds the local Parrots. He has Rosella's that fly as close to him as they can. They do all sorts of things to get your attention and a feed. Lots of Crimson Rosella's and what seems to be a cross with an Eastern. Now it looks like a Crimson, and calls / behaves like an Eastern. Cross-breed happen in the wild, not just in captivity and the young are sterile. This keeps the species pure. There is always going to be local variation depending on climate and food, so birds from a different area may look and behave quite differently.

Most hybrids are actually fertile.... the adelaide rosella is a hybrid swarm between crimson and yellow rosellas.

If you are interested in hybrids.... some photos of some.
