Hello! I have recently changed my ducorps cockatoo from a seed based diet/what he had been eating at the pet store, to Zupreem Fruitblend Bird Food with a mix of peanuts/nuts, and fresh fruits/veggies, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a healthy diet for him, or if I should change something?

They also have a Veggie Blend, and Natural Nutrients, I haven't seen him eat any of it yet, but if he enjoys it I may buy him more of it.

Silus gets the Zupreem Fruitblend, He won't eat the others. I keep one bowl of it for him to eat during the day. He get's his fresh fruit and some eggs in the morning. I give him snack mid day and for dinner fresh Veggies. (he loves his Veggies). I don't give him peanuts, He does get some nuts but not a whole lot.

This might not be true with cockatoos but I read online that peanuts can be harmful because of a toxin. I keep it to a minimum with my amazon.

When I fed my parrots pellets I fed them zupreem the fruit blend. My boyfriend fed his the veggie blend. I think it depends on their preference. If you haven't fed your parrots pellets before their dropping might come out red - dont freak out. It can sometimes be that they only ate the red pellets.

Other than that I think you're doing great. :)

Thank you very much! c: I am weaning him off of his other diet by mixing them at the moment but I'm taking away alot of the seeds/store mixture, My sister had been feeding her Bourke's Parakeet the pellets, and She seems to love them and I think my birds are enjoying them as well :3

Try giving him some chop as well. I started making it for my U2 and he almost cleans his bowl. It's basically mass veggies chopped up with some grains and organic pasta. I use kale, carrots, red bell pepper 2 others I can't remember the names of, cilantro (I think it's like a clover), farro, quinoa flakes, quick oats, ground flak seed, and who knows what else.. You get the idea haha.. Oh yeah and some organic pasta too that way if they just nibble on the pasta they still get some veggies ;-)
