Silus has decided to take the screw out of the door to his Cage!!!!! only thing holding it right now is the Lock!!! I put the screw back in but of course it only took him 2 min or less to get it back out.

CaptSteve of course is out at Sea, : (. Does anyone have any suggestions,on how I can keep him in the Cage? Or to fix the issue,so he can't push the door open.

Have Andrew get a longer bolt and some washers and 2 nuts from the garage.

Put the bolt in with a washer under the head and one under the nut then have him double nut and tighten the nuts together.

Love ya baby!!!

Edit: If he needs too he can drill the hole a bit to make it so the bolt can go all the way through.

And if that is too much of a pain, put a wire coat hanger through it a couple times and twist it together.

LOL...just....LOL. I am sorry for your cage woes but that is just too funny. That picture of the Too playing with the screw. *laughs until sick* Valentino my RFM is very mechanical inclined to take all apart that he can. Its so ANNOYING but I have to admire his engineering abilities. Maybe they can get jobs?

Noble I think your right we can rent them out, I can see the sign now.

Rusty Screw that won't come out ? No problem for our Too!!! LOL LOL

Well after 2 trips to the hardware store, I think I got the right stuff (fingers crossed). When I was putting the new screws and nuts in, He through a FIT!!!!! started Screaming at me. He already started trying to unscrew them, hopefully they will last until his Daddy comes home. 23 more days and counting LOL LOL

Get yourself an Expandable Habitats cage. Granted, being out of SS, they are expensive BUT there is no way they can dismantle the cage from the inside. Now if you allow them to climb all over the cage they would have access to the screws on the outside.

I'll have to tell my husband about the Expandable Habitat cage. Silas doesn't spend much time climbing on the out side of his cage. When he is out of his cage spends time on his gym or on us, So that cage might be a good idea.

Lots and lots of cable ties. All up and down the side of the door/cage area.

Mayden that would be a great idea if he didn't chew them, Man he chews everything LOL.

Granted it would take him a while to do it.

That reminds me.... Avian Adventure cages are designed to be put together without nuts and bolts... so that is another option.
