Broken beak again!

Sydney somehow broke his beak once again. I was scraping off some crust on his beak and noticed the tip is cracked almost all of the way threw and it was bleeding. The bleeding stopped and now the tip is angled but still attached. There are no avian vets available until normal business hours Monday and I'm worried about how they are going to fox it.

crimson had her Cockatiel NumNum's beak repaired awhile back. You need to let the vet see what they can do about repairing it.

I am relieved it was not serious!....I was the one with the cockatiel who had it's beak broken. he's fine now, and very healthy.

One thing I've learned, let the vets worry about how to repair things, it's their job to know.
But I get where your coming from, it's nerve wracking to say the least.

I think it was partially cracked from when he fell a few days ago. He plays so rough in his cage and I guess he fell all the way to the bottom the other day. He was acting really weird all day Sunday and that evening is when I saw his beak. He is back eating already so back to his normal crazy self.

Thanks for all of your concern :)
