I need to know if she is going to make herself sick or not...Durning the winter my cookatoo is having dry skin troubles so i am placing her in the shower each night to help wet her feathers and try to give her some relief but when she is in there she loves loves loves to play in the water but she also LOVES to full her little gulit right full of water ! to the point of where it looked like it did when she was on hand feedings as a baby LOl ... is drinking this much water at a time going to hurt her in anyway ... i know she is poohing out water for like an hour after her showers.:white1:

My conure does the same thing when in the shower, I think out of sheer excitement. I haven't seen any adverse reactions from it. I'm sure everyone could benefit from a little extra water from time to time. :) just make sure it's not hot.

I have one umbrella cockatoo. A female 3 years old named Mina.
My U2 also does that. You should notice wherever you put your little one to dry that their poop is pretty much all water for awhile. Also you should always bath/shower your baby in the AM. Even on warm summer nights they can catch chills. Winter time they really should not be put to bed wet or even damp. Mina gets her shower first thing in the am with me then hangs out in her cage with a space heater keeping her room cozy.
