A too named Fireball
What is anyones experience with boarding their bird? I have to leave the country for a week and am boarding my too with a highly referred avian vet, but am worried sick about it. I have only had fireball for around 3 months and he is at the point where we are now buddies and I don't want him to relapse to the point of not knowing me when I return. I am taking his normal cage and all his toys with him to be more comfortable . Just wondering what to expect. Thanks.:whiteblue::white1:

We prefer to board with a bird store because they get a lot more human interaction. It's kinda like a mini vacation for them. He might be mad when you return, but it'll prob fade with the proper bribery and excessive TLC.!

It should be fine since it is only a week. I like the idea of boarding with an avian vet. I would either choose that or someone I knew very well. I really don't like the way I have seen people treat birds in stores. I am one of those people who will tell a kid to stop poking their fingers at a bird in a store if the parents are not saying anything. I have had parents get rude with me over it and I just tell them to teach their kids proper manners and I wouldn't have to!
