I could play it, but it kept freezing, not sure if it was just photobucket...

I loved the toss of the spool of thread. Quite a throw he has!! :)

He looks like he literally was just slowly casing the joint to see what he could get his beak on!!! He is beyond gorgeous, so jealous!!!! :)

Thank you, Jen! Did you see his tumour? We were just calculating the other day, it's about an eighth of its original size. When Dom first arrived, it was a great swollen mass that hung down from the middle of his breastbone to the floor. Now, it's not much bigger than a marble. I hope like mad it will eventually just go away.

I will try to get a video of Dom helping me in the computer room. He walks along our corner desk setup and hurls everything in sight onto the floor. Once, my silly, silly daughter left a bowl of glass beads on her end of the desk. Dom had a perfectly lovely half-hour hurling those one by one! And wasn't Miss Ellie miffed when she came back to find them rolling about the floor? I told her Dominic was having his play therapy and I hadn't had the heart to stop him. :D :D :D

I did not even notice it!!! But was not looking for it, just enjoying him looking for trouble to get into :)

Trish, Dommie is so beautiful! It didn't freeze for me, so maybe it was a photobucket momentary lapse for Jen.
Could you please do a really long video with you talking the whole time??Your accent is so beautiful, and I could listen to you talk all day long:)

ROTFL! Terry, Terry, Terry! If you had any idea how horrified I am at how Ocker I sound ('Ocker' is Australian for - well - 'Australian'. Broad Australian.) I wish I had a lovely, resonant, round-vowelled voice like Cate Blanchett's! Instead, my vowels are plain flat-out like a lizard drinking and I really can't hear anything attractive in my speech. Thank you for the compliment, though. I'll try to remember that when I make another video. :D

Can anyone please tell me a better way to upload videos? This one took over half an hour to upload to photobucket!

Hey Trish. Dommie is gorgeous. I just love the redecorating that he was doing. Nothing better than a chewed up magazine with said missing parts strewn all over the place. I know that feeling all too well :).

Dommie's tumour is hardly visible. I too, keep my fingers crossed that it vanishes completely with time and of course all of the dedication that you show to him.

I loved the video, Trish! Dominic is truly beautiful and I think it's amazing the progress you've made with that tumor! I had no idea it was once that large! How long since it was that big?

I loved the video, Dommie is such a cutie, I've always been infatuated with Galahs. :)
I upload videos to YouTube. I take photos/videos with my phone, so I have the Photobucket app for photos, and the YouTube "Capture" app for videos. From my phone, it only takes a couple minutes to upload them, and since I only ever share them with PF/FaceBook I mark my videos as "unlisted" meaning they won't show up on a search, but anyone with the URL can view them. :)

Dom is such a handsome boy, how are you getting the tumor to go down in size?
I also agree with Terry, you have a lovely voice and accent!:D

Thanks again, folks! :)

Dommie has been on a strict no-seed diet of pellets and fruit/veg. He has pellets available at all times and has his fruits and veg usually in the afternoons (because he won't eat them during the day while he's hanging out on his playgym). It has taken roughly eighteen months to get the tumour to shrink as much as it has. I can't believe I didn't take a single 'before' photo to show how bad it used to be! My sister is amazed at Dommie's newfound good health: eighteen months ago, we did have a serious conversation about maybe having him PTS because the tumour seemed so debilitating for him. It used to bleed because of dragging on the ground and getting sliced by his claws. :(

I had hoped Dom's feathers might grow back, but sadly they haven't. He plucked for far too long and the follicles must be quite gone by now. You can't tell by looking at the video or photos of him, but Dom is completely naked from the back of his neck down between his wings and from the level of his tumour right down to his legs. Beneath his wings is plucked clean as well. He used to have rather large (size of a marble) yellow fatty tumours under his wings as well. They were the first things to shrink and disappear. Obviously, the big one is the one we've all been watching, though. It's extremely gratifying to see it nearly gone! :)

I'm so proud of Dominic! He remains his own bird to this day and no one gets to push him around. He'll be sweet as pie until you do something to cross him and then he lets you know with a big fat chomp! LOL! It just goes to show that Dominic is still a force to be reckoned with.

Just this morning, he was having his usual peckity-peck around the kitchen benches. He worked his way across to the breakfast bar, where Miss Buffy had been snoozing on her special patch. I had just given her a saucer of milk and Dom immediately began hoppitting along to check it out (those of you who own Galahs will know exactly the step I mean - LOL!) Buffy wasn't aware of Dom sneaking up behind her and continued lapping away at her warm milk. Next thing, before I could grab him, Dom was upon her and bit her rather nastily on the neck! Poor Buff nearly had a coronary there on the spot. She hissed and flattened her ears back, so Dommie stood his ground, drew himself up to his tallest height, raised his hat and bellowed at her! Then, he made as if to have another go and went to bite poor old Buffy again! As luck would have it, my son heard the commotion and raced out to deliver Buffy from the jaws of Dominic. I was so relieved! I knew full well that my hands would be mincemeat if I'd had to grab 'im - once Dom gets his hat up, he can be somewhat difficult for me to handle. :22_yikes:

I'll need to find a new spot for Buffy to relax in, just so I can be confident Dommie won't be able to molest her when he's inside.

I was FINALLY able to view the video. YAYYYY!!! Could not get it to play on my laptop yesterday, no clue why, but my PC was running all sorts of updates and scans....

Trish, I could listen to you ALL day long. LOVE your voice. :)

Dom looks GREAT! You've done a TREMENDOUS job with him. That mass / tumor is NOTHING now, compared to what it used to look like.

This just made my day. I'm all smiles. :D

I concur! Now that I've had the opportunity to watch the video WITH the accompanying sound, (1st time I watched it was in a bus full of sleeping, cranky passengers) I can weigh in and assure you that your voice bears no resemblance at all to a gulping lizard! (Where do you get these things, Trish? Lol!)
