Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with a triton cockatoo I recently bought. I bought him for 700 dollars under the impression that he was greater sulfur and tame. I have had him at my house for a few days and he is really crazy! After doing some research I’m beginning to learn that he has been through a lot! He is incredibly hormonal and rubs himself on everything! He knows step up and coughs like someone that may have been very sick, he even makes oxygen tank noises! I’m not prepared to rehab this bird, he is over 700 grams and sweet one second then lunges at you the next? My original plan was to get a nice blue and gold baby but after finding him I thought I would give it a shot… but no luck, even my avian vet suggested (since he has bitten everyone in my family) selling him to a breeder. Do you have any advice for me or do you know anyone who would be interested in a male triton for breeding? Or trading for a discount on a blue and gold? He is definitely hand able but not the Campion I was hoping for and I don’t have the experience to help him be a good pet. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks so much! Julia

Hi Julia, I am sorry you are unable to work things out with your Too. I hope you can find a home that has Too experience for this poor bird that has been passed around. I wish I could have helped you more. Judy
