I have bought a male sulphur-crested triton cockatoo about a month ago. His weight is 400 gm and his length is around 12". Can anyone estimate his age please?
He's very pretty. He doesn't look like a baby, but also doesn't appear to be very old either. It's always a shot in the dark with parrot ages, but I would guess in the 5-15 range. Did you not get any background info on him when you got him? He looks healthy and well cared for.
I think you've got a Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo instead of a triton. And no you can't tell the age of a parrot by looking at them unless they were still adolescent or in the midst of maturity.
