It's finally here!!! I've been trying to get this cage since April. This is a pretty huge upgrade for her. She's still getting used to it...so far, she hasn't really moved much from the top perches. Hopefully she will learn to love it soon.

WOW! Thats a HUGE cage for a galah!!!

I bet once she gets used to it, Flower is going to be one happy birdy in her new mansion:D Does she like to forage? Perhaps some foraging toys (or treats!) positioned near the bottom would encourage her to venture to the lower levels. This is the kind of problem I fear getting Kiwi too big of a cage (we're looking to upgrade too). Let me know how she adapts t the extra room!

To be honest, whether she uses the bottom half much or not, I won't regret getting the larger cage; I wanted more width and height for her. Her old cage just felt so cramped. But good idea to place foraging things down lower for her! I'll definitely update as she acclimates to it. She was clumsy in her previous cage at first, too, after coming from a VERY small cage in her last home.

But then I would get to see one of Chili's adorable tantrums! :09:

Who's a lucky girlah? My girl always sits in the same spots and the other day she went down and I couldn't see her in there. I thought she'd carked it. At least you'll be avoiding similar heart attacks if she stays up top.

Congratulations Flower! A castle fit for a queen, or one very lucky galah. I think in a few days Flower will be using every inch of her new home.

Who will occupy the right side of the cage?

I'm not using the divider, so the whole thing is hers. :)

Flower got a fabulous addition to her new cage last week -- a hand-crafted grapewood perch courtesy of getwozzy! She loves it.

Spectacular pics! Everything is so pristine, Flower needs to get her beak in buzz-saw mode!
