I've been reading a lot about how to get your parrot ready to wear a harness, a lot of people say to touch their wings, body and back often so they are use to it. Then other people say not to touch your parrots backs and wings because it sexually stimulates them, causing frustration and biting

Can anyone suggest ways to get my parrot ready for a harness ?

The problem is not so much touching as it is petting/stroking that stimulates/excites the hormonal bird...if Nigel is in a hormonal phase, you might want to wait until his hormonal period has passed, just to make sure you're not passing any erroneous messages to Nigel ! ! !
