Hi!
I just found out that my dog are allergik to grass trees etc. Allergina from the air.
From the parrots flies a lot white dust.
I need some help here. Don't be afraid telling what you think.
Give me suggestions what to do.

A parrot needs a bath several times a week anyway, so just increase your birds bathes to more often. Also, buy high quality air purifiers, NON IONIZING or it can kill your bird. Clean the cage every day, dust often. Good luck.

Talk to your dog's vet about any allergy medications, or perhaps an injection they can give.

Bathe your Cockatoo daily or often, dust/vacuum the house daily or often. Invest in a good HEPA air purifier.

These are the things that immediately come to mind. Good luck

Edit: Dani and I just posted about the same time, I didn't see hers, but we said almost the same thing. I think that is about all you can do.

I think a aircleaner eould be a big help.
They have a bath om the cage all days.
My dog are also bathing one second day.

Ensure their sleeping areas are in separate spaces?
Can the dog be outside when the birds aren't in their cages, so you have a chance to vacuum before he comes in? Is there room and provisions for an aviary/outdoor cage, so the parrots can have some enrichment and a chance of scenery when the dog might be in with you, to help keep them in different environments?

Thanks.
In August we will start with medications by injection. I do hope my dog will let me without using mask.
In the summertime my birds are out in a large cage. For now the room are clean from dust. I have been thinking and did ask my son if he would like to have his Albino-girl and another. She i so inlove with him. I don't have to have all 4 birds. We did have a aircleaner, but it was to small. They are useful.
For Zeb the best thing with this are that he can bath everyday. An he is so happy playing, swimming around in ouer nerside lake.
Have a nice weekend.
