Jojoba Oil for Toe Massages?

Hey everyone! I am starting to do daily toe rubs on my male d2, Willoughby, and I use my jojoba oil that I use for my stretched ear lobes. The oil is very absorbent, but I heard it is more of a wax. Anyway, Willoughby has been loving the toe rubs and I am switching him over to 100% raw coconut oil I picked up from the grocery store, just because I know it is safe for them. My question is, will the jojoba oil hurt my bird in any way? He's gotten tongue fulls of the oil from nibbling on my ear lobes in the past and has held up well. I just want to be safe with him. Thoughts?

I know coconut oil is safe, I use it in a lot of bird safe recipes and I've used it on my Too's feet.

I'm not sure about jojoba.

Coconut oil is great, I'm picking some up this week. I have heard jojoba isn't toxic, but isn't in the clear for the toos. Apparently many wild birds eat the jojoba seed so, I'm sure I'm in the clear but I'm going to go with coconut oil to be safe.

. Funny how your bird likes feet massages! I've never heard of oiling a birds foot before actually. The only human-to-foot contact mine is ok with is using you for a ride or using you as a perch

Hahaha that's awesome. My ducorps is very tolerant, as he is still very young. 10 months going on 11. I grab his foot and I give him kisses on his cheek area and talk to him as I rub oil into his feet. He loves it! It's relaxing and bonding for us. Bird people are weird, all my friends and family don't get it but everyone on here is just like me. Your bird is your mate and you must treat them as such!

Cockatoos are a tad more touchy feely than amazons in general, especially mature rescue zons like my boy vs. a very young too

I admit it, I massage Poppy's toes with coconut oil. They have big dinosaur feet and with the powder down their feet get dry. I've also read about touch therapy with parrots, it was very interesting.

Cockatoos are a tad more touchy feely than amazons in general, especially mature rescue zons like my boy vs. a very young too

Kili my U2 Loves the top of her food stroked. It's like a sweet spot for her. She immediately gets sleepy eyed and after a minute will close her eyes like it's putting her to sleep. Never thought of using oil

The only thing I would caution (as with all physical 'Too contact) is that it is not perceived as sexual by the 'Too-- could result in hormonal behavior, no?

I must admit, though, after seeing these photos-- the results are very good-- I'll bet moisturized feet feel better for the 'Too than the alternative.
