..is everywhere! I'm finding I am vacuuming at least twice a day. I am finding fluff in places this guy hasn't even been lol

Smokes was never this bad..or Amy. Just wondering if its a 'Too thing. He looks awesome now,so much better than when I got him. His back is nice and fluffy, not ragged looking like he was when I got him,and his tummy has filled in so nicely.

I nned to get a good picture to post ;)

I guess everything is relative, but my U2 isn't that bad. I vacuum once a week, other than that I just wipe up the wood chips/seed/crap that falls under the cage onto the mats every day or two, (depending on how much time she spends on that particular perch/cage) I just be sure to check the air conditioner (in window) filter every other day or so.

Of course, I have 5 cats and 2 (large) dogs in the house.... so FUR is my problem. I vacuum and 3 days later there are fur-tumbleweeds rolling through the living room.

So the fur-to-feather ratio is about 1,000,000: 1, lol!

If I waited 3 days or a week to vacuum and dust I would have something resembling snow drifts in my house!

How often do you shower Jonesie?

He has been in the shower once,Tom,when I first got him in April.. Amy loves a misting bottle, I could empty it 3 times and she'd want more. Jonesy previous parront used a spray/misting bottle for punishment if The Cockatoo Man screeched too much or whatever,so using a bottle would prolly upset him into thinking he did something wrong.

With Smokey, I used to just put her in the bathtub and with a lite, lukewarm water flow, I use the shower head. She wasn't particularly a bath/shower type..she'd hang her head and pull her arms in close and shake her head,so I made sure she got drenched.. But five minutes back in her house, she would be dunking her noggin in her water bowl, and if I tried a shallow bowl..forget it,she'd hide in the corner

So I guess Jonesy could use a shower..

That's rough that they abused 'em like that, I'm sure it makes it hard.

I was mostly just misting Willow until this week, I bought a nice 3-side/4-cup shower perch that I just started using for her, and it's 10x easier. Only way I could get her in the shower before was to hold her on my arm with me in the shower.

Now I can just go take a shower myself, put her on the perch, spray her, and she just sits there looking like I'm torturing her, lol

But I have noticed that the more I shower her, the less "fluff" she drops. I went from once a week to every 2-3 days, definitely cut down the dander/fluff.

Tom, I have one of those suction cup thingies..I got it for Amy,but it isn't long enough. Like I mentioned earlier, she loves to open and wave her arms as wide as she can,and twist/shake/bob her head..she simply loves a shower. But the perch doesn't give her room enough to do her thing, and she just sits there..no FUN for her!
If you look at my avatar picture, you will see she is perched on a branch of a Rose of Sharon bush, where she likes to sit while being bathed.
I still haven't attempted to take Jones outside to try and get him to shower < I'm waiting on a harness :54:> Oh,and btw...you have an email

So I guess I'll get him into the tub tomorrow..maybe see if he'd like to shower with me lol.
