Alice - Galah cockatoo
Mine loves plaster - any bit of wall she hasn't checked out in a while gets a beaking:

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Cute video! The Beak serves so many purposes besides the obvious of eating and manipulation!

It has a hard outer surface but an internal blood supply and means of regeneration. I wonder whether it is very touch-sensitive to textures and temperature?

Haha, looks like Pooka is measuring the table for some custom designs, sweet video!

Scott, I've been told by a vet beaks have clusters of nerve endings making them super sensitive.

Beaks are versatile, Poppy likes to hang by her beak from the top of her playstand and let her feet dangle, cockatoo beaks are good for picking complicated locks, shredding, exploring, maneuvering small seeds....

Yeah my Jenday loves to get his beak scratched!! It could quite possibly be his favorite thing in the whole world actually hahaha..

And yes, Pooka has tried many MANY times to get her cage unlocked, but I have a umbrella proof system ;)
