Ok, this is a new one. Followed the advice about Zahzu, and true to form, once he calmed down a bit when I got home this morning I was able to handle him fine. As for the masturbation...oi lol now im paranoid, because tonight, he wasnt snuggling me, but he was sitting on my arm, on my wrist actually, and then he started bobbing his head up and down and tapping his beak on my finger. He got a little rough after a bit, and to me it looked like he was trying to regurgitate. Is that what he was doing? Just trying to figure this bird out. Again thanks a lot.

I'd have to see what your describing to be sure, but in many cases regurgatiting is a sign of affection or a strong bonding, it can be shown to other birds to humans and even their favorite toys, if this is a behavior that is done when interacting with you its fairly normal behavior when a bird becomes attached, if Zahzu does it often, even when not interacting with you it then it might be he's ill and vomiting, hopefully its a bonding experience :)

my toos do this when they are comfortable and then when they want to show affection. sometimes they bob on the hand or sometimes rub their beak down your finger. some might say that this is a territorial thing. I do not know enough scientific/wild observation facts to corroborate.
