Figure out what is making him scream. And do it quicklly, before it becomes a obsessive behavior

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I'm sorry to hear Jasper continues to scream. Have you read this thread concerning cockatoo behaviors? http://www.parrotforums.com/cockatoos/17694-owning-cockatoo.html

While note 10 describes the inevitability of screaming at beginning and end of the day, a properly adjusted bird should not shriek almost continuously.

As Wrench13 suggests, it is important to determine why Jasper is so vocal. Easier said than done!! With cockatoos it generally has to do with attention and their needs being unmet despite your efforts. The trick is to find a solution, which can range from a different room environment to nutrition to more challenging toys. If Jasper has not recently been to an avian vet, it may be helpful to take him in for a well-check.

We've cut down on Rocky's screaming enormously by simply taking him along when we leave the room. He just wants to part of whatever we're doing. I took him in the bedroom when I changed the bedding. He sits in the kitchen on a T stand when Hubby is cooking. He joins us for dinner. That may be all Jasper wants, too.

If it's that bad, is there anyone who could foster Jasper and work with his screaming so you can avoid getting in trouble with the RSPCA and your landloard?

Hi, do you have any other pets? If so? Do they cause Jasper any stress etc? Just looking for reasons why. Hope you can sort this?
