the one we got just tears the hell up out of all the toys, no wood is safe.
i have gotten to the point where im making his toys myself. also seems when he is out of his house he has to be very closely watched because everything he can get his chopper on is fair game to him.

everything you listed cept the couch and the woodwork.lol

the only problem I have with him is everytime I get him on my hand he runs straight up my arm full flapping and stands on my shoulder and hangs that chopper right next to my face kind of unnerving the first time and all that have followed. to get him off I have to walk to the cage and he gets off there. last time a few days ago I guess I did not get away from the cage fast enough because he very lightly,and gently pinched the back of my arm to get me to move , no marks or anything. I don't think this bird would bite but then again I only know 9 months history out of 15yrs. funny thing is he does not act nothing like that with the wife he sits in her lap to get all that loving and plays on the couch a lot along with the playstand.

could be due to me wanting my wife to be his primary human so I don't handle him to much and he only comes out when she is home. however I'm always playing tug of war and things like that through the cage. also noticed he does not play with her like he plays with me. so I figured at sometime in his life he may have been with another couple that taught him this because it seems so natural for him. he goes to the wife for the cuddling and me for the play.

Sounds like a little hellion who does as he pleases and rules the roost. Same as my Rickeybird, whom I describe as fully flighted, fearless, and in perpetual motion, and I take endless precautions and make endless concessions to allow that. I think you have a happy, healthy parrot. Then again, I may be a poster child for complete surrender, so take my words with TWO grains of salt!

I have a GSC2 and man, can he go through the wood! I have gotten more splinters in my feet from walking by his cage after giving him new wood than I ever did from walking outside. Making the toys is definitely the way to go.

It all sounds pretty good and definitely keep those wood toys coming 'a busy bird, is a happy bird' as been said. This can head off so many unwanted behaviours. It sounds like he has chosen 'your wife' but not reducing the emphasis on the relationship you both have which is different but sounds good. Sounds pretty much like how my RB2 is with myself and my hubby, who is his playmate for daftness. You can build on this relationship I am sure. Put that intelligence they possess to good use with tricks and games. Remember the beak is a form of communication tool also and that is all the slight pinch was IMO. Enjoy he sounds adorable.
