- A Rescue Parakeet; Lemon. Ducorp Cockatoo; Monty 1yr. Rescue Blue & Gold Macaw; Maxwell 7yrs. Rescue Umbrella Cockatoo; Oliver 32yrs.
It has been quite a while since I have been on the forums, I believe it was before we had Monty at home. Well since Monty has been home we added a U2 (Ollie 32yrs. rescue) that he would LOVE to play with, he is such a little clown!
So let me back up a little, we have a rescue B&G, Max (7yrs) & U2, Ollie then Monty who we purchased from a local breeder that is a Ducorp Cockatoo. Monty is coming up on a year old shortly and he loves everyone and doesn't understand why his bird friends don't love him. He is picking up words quickly but not necessarily clearly and not a huge screamer, neither Max nor Monty were till Ollie came along. He is a HUGE clown, loves to play with squeaky dog toys and will literally roll around on the floor with his toys. He is an absolute doll, I would choose a Ducorp again in a heart beat.
We do have things we are still working on like stepping up and eating fruits and veggies.
If anyone has any questions about him, or Ducorps, I would be happy to answer or try to answer.
