Male Galah named Valentine; male red-sided Eclectus named Harlequin "Harley"; female red-sided Eclectus named Petra
As a brief update, my Galah Valentine is doing great. Started target training with all 3 birds and while the two Eclectus picked the concept of touching the chopstick right off the bat.... my goofy boy (Gooficus is his nickname) prefers to try to eat the stick. We got work to do there lol. Anyway, He is so entertaining and has an extensive vocabulary which blows me away ESP at his age.

He really amazed me yesterday and I wanted to share. I tell them bye bye before I leave for work in the mornings and yesterday, in response, Valentine says clear as day "where ya going??" He has never ever said this before much less in context lol. I was blown away. So I told him I was going to work, that I loved him and would see him that afternoon lol

These birds are so amazing. I thought this would be a fun topic to share - what has your fid done that just had you amazed at them?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
They are indeed amazing! Glad to see your flock is responding to training so well.

The bird I handle most is Gabby, my first-born Goffin. He's taken to potty training lately and has definitely learned the cue. He generally tenses a few seconds before relieving, so I quickly move him to a toilet, trash bin, or his cage and say "do a "xxx." Well, the actual word is a certain person! 90% of the time this strategy works, though at times he'll just surprise.

Salty constantly amazes me with how smart he is. And how emotional too!

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
It's incredible how smart they are. When Rio first started talking he did so in context and I was amazed.

Sounds you've got an incredible flock there

Ethyl the cockatiel, Henry & Clarke the IRN's, and Skittles the lovebird (my daughters)
Henry and Clarke are both chatty. Clarke mimic's Henry, but Henry is often situational appropriate. Clarke came to us with issues, and wont do hands whatsoever. So every time he takes a treat from our fingers/steps up on our arms, Henry yells a super clear over excited much like a parent toilet training a toddler "Good BOOOYYY!"

Gets us every time :p

Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
The day BB came home to live with Amy and I...Amy was hanging upside down,in her house, intently watching as I was removing BB from his take-me-home box,and when I had Beebs on my fingers,Amy asks "What is that?"
Ya...kinda blew me away! :)

Holding a bowl of popcorn, Nigel looks at me and says, "Nigel wants some popcorn."

Yes, he gets the popcorn!
