Would help to know where you live,since this is a WORLD WIDE forum.
Why not look into your local "rescue"? There are plenty of "unwanted/unloved" birds in these places,especially Cockatoo's...

I know of one baby ready to go home from the breeder as of a couple days ago. It's actually a bare eyed/goffin hybrid. I had a male from the same breeder and he was an amazing little guy. I lost him tragically in an accident but loved him dearly. Amazing breeders who do ship their babies. Are you in the US? Let me know and I can pass on the breeder info if so.
