My goffin Ziggy has been plucking and it’s getting bad. I’ve changed his toys around let him out of his cage as soon as I get home but it’s just getting worse I have 2 other birds and they don’t have any issues. I don’t know what to do. He hates the other birds and starts screaming when I give them attention. Any advice please to help.

The first thing is to get your Parrot into a Certified Avian Vet (CAV) to determine if it is a medical issue. This commonly involve at least two Biopics and a full blood screen at a minimum.

Other possibilities ( and the list is extensive ):

Diet can be a concern, especially if there has been a change.

Hormonal issue(s) and associated behavior issues that commonly follow.

Change in family dynamics (both ways)

Making changes to the environment can also trigger /confuse the source(s).

Etc...

Start at the CAV ASAP.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Great advice above!

Has anything else with Ziggy changed? Is it possible to give him a little extra time? Plucking can be for many reasons, including unhappiness and boredom.
