Hello,

So I am new in dubai and I am looking for other bird lovers and a playdate for my cockatoo if anyone is interested please message me. Would love to start a bird group in here to help each other out. All kinds of birds are welcome.

If you’re not in Dubai here are some cute pictures of my bird instead

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to the forums! I don't know of any other members in Dubai, but your idea is excellent! Might try various forms of social media to connect with local parronts.

Beautiful bird, lots of nice toys to enjoy!

Just a friendly bit of advice for the oblong "c" clamp in second picture with chain; please ensure the clamp is tightened, as cockatoos are infamous for removing them. It is possible while playing to get them stuck in the beak!

Welcome to Parrot Forums.

We have had a couple of members from the Dubai region, who have not been on in awhile. Although, they may be lurking from time to time. From there Posts in the past, I recall that the sand in your region is fairly course and can cause issues with Parrot eyes. So being mindful of being careful anytime there is light breeze is very important.

Also, Avian Vet care is limited and it is wise to seek out Vet care far in advance of needing it.

Enjoy!

Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Lovely looking bird!

Does she leave the plastic layer alone?
(my greys would be at it in no-time)

I hope you find some parrot-friends in Dubai - as always: the more the merrier.

Thank you! That actually happened to one of my macaws :( (she’s okay now)
There was a toy on it before i took the picture, I make sure I remove the clamp as soon as she is done with the toy and that it’s tightly secured.

Awesome, well done! Their ability to twist devices is absolutely amazing!

Thank you!
She ignores plastic, but whenever I use paper she would shred it to bits. she likes to do this thing where she wraps the paper around a random object then rips the object out. same thing with my clothes
