Goffins moulting can last weeks to a month or so. I have 5, and they are on somewhat different schedules. They are generally a bit more cranky and lower energy. Because they are often extremely cuddly, you must use caution to not twist or bend their new "blood feathers." Some of mine are more skittish about being handled while moulting. More frequent bathing may help the discomfort. Many birds will allow you to help "opening" new feathers by rubbing the waxy sheaf with your nails. Want to avoid the pink pin feathers and do this only when mature white stalks are showing.
