So, I finally got around to getting Bianca a nicer carrier and am pretty happy with the result. I got her a dog’s carrier in which I installed a perch and feeding cups. She likes the little outings we’re having!
She will climb up to get a better view at first but then will start preening and relaxing.

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
What size and brand did you get and what are the dimensions?
I am hoping to upgrade to a larger travel carrier and I can't tell from the picture.

He looks happy. :)

Nike also rides clinging to the side of her travel cage and does not use the perch while in the car.

I got the Top Paw 24” double door dog crate from petsmart.com and picked it up in store. It was $25 online whereas in store they charge $40. If you have a big car you can go up one size and give Noodles a really big one. The same model in 30” is very nice but couldn’t fit in my car.

Parrots
Senegal Parrot named "Kane"; Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure named "Bowie"; Blue Quaker Parrot named "Lita Ford"; Cockatiel named "Duff"; 8 American/English Budgie Hybrids; Ringneck Dove named "Dylan"
Looks Good! I use the same one but smaller for my guys, and it works really well. Easy to attach stainless bowls and perches too...Kane hates it and rides on a PVC perch that I built which wraps around the headrest on the front passenger seat with me, but the smaller 3 love being back in the larger crate for some reason...

Thanks! Could it collapse and lay flat in a car?
I need a large cage that is big enough that she could stand on the perch and flap her wings without slamming into things. I have 2 full-size cages that I keep at places we go often, but I need an alternative sleep/day cage that can travel with us. The full-sized cages don't fit in my car (even when in pieces), so I have had them delivered and I have assembled them on-sight, but they are huge and not easy to take apart. They are terrible for short trips to random places (e.g., 1-3 days), which is what I am looking for...something large that she can hang out in once we reach our destination. Her current travel cage works for 5-6 hours, but I wouldn't dare attempt to make her sleep in it, as she often flaps at night when startled by small sounds....

WOW...that message got long fast....SORRY if I am hijacking this helpful thread.

I drive a 4 door car.

This particular one is foldable so you can you can easily put in in the car when it’s folded flat. If you need it to be suitable for sleeping I would get the 30” model is it gives way more room for wing flapping. Bianca doesn’t move her wings much and since she slept in the little cat carrier when we were evacuated I knew she’d be just fine in this new one :)
