With all our parents deceased, Christmas is now at our house, and Rocky, while he seems to enjoy the entertainment value of visitors, also gets a little wound up and you know that means LOUD unless we are all paying attention to HIM. We also have to remind our siblings, over and over and over again, to dodge as they walk past his perch because if you don't stop and greet him, he will chomp, or try to, to get your attention. My brother's been nipped a couple of times already. You'd think they'd remember, but they don't. Next year I may try to find a sitter for Rocky so we can have Christmas dinner in peace without a screaming 'too in the mix.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Or you could create a place setting for Rocky during the meal! Wouldn't that be entertaining for all, and especially Rocky!

Several things are wrong with that idea. The first is that he thinks all things made of wood are a chew toy, and the table is an antique, made of wood, that belonged to Hubby's parents. Ditto the cane chairs that go with it. No Rocky anywhere near that table and chairs. I've tried giving him his own plate, but he is not happy unless I am feeding him from MY plate. My brother thinks it's amusing when I feed Rocky from my plate, but I really want Rocky to learn to behave when people are over. As it is, only family will even come over because they don't want to put up with Rocky.
