Hello I'm new here and have a question about my goffin ,, how do I know if he is a he or a she is a she , any different markings or any other way to tell ? thank you

While the best and most accurate method is DNA sexing, clues may exist. Female goffins and other cockatoo species generally have light brown eye irises while the male's are typically black. Females are often smaller, but variation exists.

DNA tests are performed in a lab and require a small blood sample. Collection may be via competent and preferably certified avian vet, or a mail order kit is available if you feel comfortable following DIY instructions.

All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
