Gabby in flight

Sponsored Links
Gabby was about 10 years old when this flight sequence was taken in July, 2005. Rediscovered perusing some old storage.

Just turned a 90 degree corner from the right. Beak and feet are reddish, guessing he had been eating pomegranate seeds. Did not bother to retract his landing gear, lol!

Preparing to land on me!

Caught him at awkward part of flapping sequence!

Your Gabby is absolutely gorgeous, Scott! With the red staining on his beak and with his hat up, he looks just like Rosetta. Gotta love a white cocky!

Re: Gabby in flight

That is one rare photo there Scott. That is the start of withdraw of the wing. The goal of this part of the stroke is to not reduce the size of the air bubble (high pressure) created and to get the wings back up to the top of the stroke while also limiting any disruption of the 'low pressure area' above the body created by the prior stroke.

United Heavy! Love it!!!
