I've had a Quaker parrot for 11 years and have long since learned what is and is not allowed around him. No jewelry. No red clothes. No clothes with decorations (like sequins or buttons). No hats. I have to keep my glasses on; can't even take them off to wipe off a smudge.
Rocky, until now, has been unconcerned with what I was wearing. He's not a fan of shoes if you're taking them off or putting them on, but if they're already on, he doesn't care what they are. However, I got some new slippers that have alpaca faces on the toes. Like bunny slippers but with alpacas. I put them on the other night and he went berserk. I don't know if he thought I had real animals (they're not THAT realistic) or what, but he wanted to attack. I LIKE those slippers but apparently I am not going to be allowed to wear them. Last year's slippers are worn out. I only wear slippers in winter. So I guess I have to go out and get some plain ones that won't set Rocky off, or not wear slippers this winter.
