- Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
So..I am not sure if you can tell how wide this WAS...but
THIS WAS A VERY NICE 2" - 2.5" DIAMETER BY 5 FOOT PERCH---GONE! CHOPPED...FINISHED...! lol

found her hanging out elsewhere in her cage when I went to uncover his this morning....such a goose....!!! This is where she used to sleep, until, while standing on it, she destroyed it and (presumably) fell down in the night (she's more than okay...no worries..)!
Now, it isn't her only perch. but it's the one she likes to sleep on...so when I took her out to eat breakfast and moved her to her stand, she IMMEDIATELY pooped (which is a deviation from our norm...LOL--she never does that because she always goes in the same spot from her perch that she destroyed---I think she refused to poop near the ground after she probably landed there at like 2AM after chewing through her sleep perch!!!). I am a VERY light sleeper, and I didn't hear anything, but I know that she definitely couldn't keep standing on it after chomping through it!
I wouldn't think this was funny if she weren't so ridiculous AND TAKING IT SO WELL, but I can't help it (she's not at all upset)...If she had seemed scared at all, I would feel awful, but she was happy as a clam..replaced it with another crappy chewed up perch that she may chomp through tonight....UGH... New/nice one should be here by the 6th...hope we make it!
SO MUCH DESTRUCTION haha!
I told my mom about his when she called me this morning and I don't think I have heard her laugh that hard in a long time! She was like, "OH I would have LOVED to see that reaction!!!" LOL!!!!! They have a love-hate relationship (more love than hate, but certainly they both annoy each other on purpose ! )
Again..I know this may LOOK like a normal perch for people with smaller birds, but it was massive...so much for that...2nd one in 2 months...Not sure about this new trend...I did stick part of it to her cage wall for chewing (in hopes that she will chew her sleep-perch less!) Rest assured...she has PLENTY of wooden chew toys!
I was worried she would chew through it about a week ago-- hence my order for a new one...so much for that effort!
