:eek:I am working a job this summer to save up enough money to get a handfed grey from a breeder. the thing is i done tons of research and everything says different things. i just want the straightforward answer. what kind of diet do african greys eat, i kno biggere i better for housing, i actually found a nice spacious home and i will be getting it as an early b-day present from my parenst:cool: but the parrot im getting myself. i just want to learn more about them from people who actually own one which i find is better then books. if anyone wants to send me some info on congo greys i would really appreciate it:eek:

Okay I'll get some done for ya.

In the meantime, be prepared, a nice large cage with lots of toys, They love wood to destroy, you may want to think about getting some acrylic ones to, they can't destroy them ones. :D Different perches rope, sandy, and different thicknesses They are very intelligent and will need a lot of stimulation to keep them occupied and lots of out of cage time also. When you first get your baby home start on the training right away or they will get the upper hand on you. They are one of the quieter of the larger birds, BUT they can and will at times make a LOT of noise, which can be ear piercing. I have found that clicker training works really well with my two, A good food, pellets and a little seed, also fresh fruits and veg. I have always stuck with what they were weaned onto, so it would be an idea to find that out from the breeder. You may have problems if you just try to change the food straight away. They don't take to change very easily. I'll get a list done a little later and get it posted.
