I have an African grey and lately I've noticed a lot of small white feather on the bottom of the cage. Not big feathers jsut small ones that come out when she flaps or preens. Also above her red tail feathers is a lot of little new red feathers coming in. Is this a sign she is starting to molt?

Ok thanks:) She isn't very scruffy looking right now but I assume she will be. And is there anything I can do to help the process other than misting or bathing?

I just see her age is approx 7 months so this would be her first little molt.

I don't do to much for mine when they molt, just the showers. Be careful when handling her though those pins are very tender & she could object if you hurt her. By mistake of course.:D
