Well. Tyler has found a new way of communicating with me. So far it works pretty good. He climbs to the bottom of his cage, hops inside and SLAMS his beak on the floor repeatedly until I figure out what the heck he wants. Not a very pleasant noise... metal hitting beak.. so I didn't even think about the fact that I was playing right into him by giving him what he wanted. (in this case, a Cheez-it, one of his favorite treats)
I was randomly picking up objects off my desk holding them up asking, 'this?' until he finally stopped and bobbed his head yes.
He used to only do this when he lived upstairs and REALLY wanted me to come see him. I allowed that because he did it very rarely and only when he, or someone else up there, really needed me. I will not allow it for a stinkin' cheese snack! lol
I am going to try to ignore him next time but its difficult.. people hear it and come running into the room asking if I'm ok because I'm sick.. not realizing they are rewarding a naughty bird with attention :D

***On a side note- is there anything more frustrating than telling your bird 'NO!' and then hearing him or her make 'raspberries' ?

Yep hearing them make the raspberries and then seeing them turn their backs to you. :D :D :D Kito does that all the time especially when he doesn't get his own way, :D Bucc just sits there and says "no more for Bucc" and then gives a very heavy sigh. :D

Ok this must be a grey thing, what the heck does 'making raspberries' mean. I mean i know what raspberries are like the fruit... but i've never heard of birds making raspberries?????? I think im totally missing something here but whatever.

Ok this must be a grey thing,

I also thought it was a Grey thing but unfortunately no, Flynnie (Red Rump) will do the exact same thing. :D I'm just hoping that Buzz doesn't learn it. :D
