Hi guys... I joined the forums last week and have enjoyed (and learned from) all the bird talk and pictures. I have a GCC (Smoke), a RB2 (Zoe), and my latest addition, Teo, a CAG. He hatched in February and came home just yesterday afternoon. He seems to be doing just fine... adjusting doesn't appear to be a problem for him. The other two birds seem a bit irritated by the new flock member, though, especially the Galah. I dare say she is a bit jealous of all the attention going to the baby Congo... While I'm not necessarily worried, I am a bit concerned.

Teo (the CAG) is a riot... he is quite the gymnast in his cage and has nearly sent me into cardiac arrest on several occasions, hanging up side down by one foot, flapping and flailing. He is having a blast. I am so glad I have him.

He hasn't eaten much, though. His cage is set up with three bowls, one for water, one for his morning veggies, and one for his pellet. The breeder instructed me to keep food both in his bowls and at the bottom of his cage as well, since he has been eating from the bottom while weening. He hasn't gone after any food yet, though, not on his own. He will eat if I hand him a piece: corn, peas, carrot, Roudy Bush, Zupreem Fruit... he likes all of it. I'm not freaking out, but again, I am a bit concerned. I don't know if it is an issue, but he will still pump his head a bit while eating. That being said, he hasn't been home for more than 24 hours...

I included a pic I took yesterday and another the breeder sent me when he was about six weeks. I need to get a better camera... recently spent a whole lot on a bird, his cage and his vet visit, though. LOL.

Thanks for reading... Birds Rock!

Congrats on your new addition! What a beautiful baby!!! Greys are so much fun and so amazing!!! I am sure your other fids will adjust. Just be careful to still give them attention and I think all should be fine. Good luck!!!

congrats to your new cag,
im not an expert but i have owned many different types of birds,
and hand fed a little farine lactee baby food to the youngest ones,
it never done them harm, also i kept them on a low perch untill they
became at least 4 months till they could climb without falling down,
