We got a new rescue CAG yesterday, see the thread below for his story.

Today I noticed, he will raise his foot to scratch his face/beak. Though when he does this he sticks one claw in his nostril and wiggles it around. It looks like he is picking his nose! Has anyone else seen this?

Such a beautiful Grey! Picking his nare is exactly what he's doing. Sometimes birds have food or other debris in their nare and they will stick a nail in there to attempt to dislodge it. I inspect the nares on a daily basis to be sure the are clear, as much as I am able to see.

I can get pretty close when he is in the cage and I don't see anything. He also bites at his nails.

LOL, Sugar does that too. It's sort of her "thing". She sticks her middle claw in her nare, wiggles it around and then sneezes several times before removing it. This happens no less than 3x's a day.

Loki occasionally does it, but not to the degree Sugar does!

i should think greys need to have their nose channel cleaned
sometime in their life, or ears ?
