Are they sorta like a dog and will pick up on when you feel bad and try to make you feel better? I've read alot about them and know they are extremely smart ( can be good but also can be a curse if raised wrong) and just curious if they read our moods as well as dogs. By no means am saying they are like dogs, I just mean about them picking up on moods.

I'm not too sure about greys, but Ozzie definitely does! When I'm not in a very good mood he will be a good birdie and doesn't do naughty things. But when I'm in a happy mood...don't talk about it...he has chewed on my wall!

Oh yea, they can feel your moods!!!! If your giving off bad vibes, there's a likelihood your gonna get bit. Never work with your birds if your upset. But at the same time they can be very sweet during that moment....just depends on the bird....

Probably also depends on how well bonded they are to you as well

I am not sure if they can feel sorry for you and try to make you feel better. At list I don't feel those vibes from my AG. But on the other hand they are always so funny, that you just have to take a look at them and already feel better. Taking care of them also make you to forget all your troubles for a while. I was having some problems during last few years and was sad most of the time, since I have my little girl things have changed for me to the better and I am happy again.
