1 year old Cinnamon Turquoise Indian Ringneck and a 10 year old TAG. (RIP Sydney, my silly 60 year old TAG, we miss you dearly)
Hello,

About a month back we brought home our new foster bird, TAG named Dusty. He's a bit of a plucker and had some behavioral problems. But I've corrected the behavior and given him plenty of chew toys, and it seems to be staving off the plucking. He's about 10 years old. I don't normally allow a bird this size on my shoulder, and that's one of the last things behavioral-wise I'm working on.
Side note: We lost our older TAG about two and a half months ago.

You are awesome. I hope everything keeps progressing positively and I am sure he is now a happy camper! :)

Thanks guys! I was a little uncertain a few week ago about how things were going, until we bridged a major gap last week.

I've noticed that he really only preens a little hard around his neck. But he has really cut back with the presence of all the other things he can chew on now. He can go through a chew toy in under a week.
He is doing really well, when he's out he dances and does the normal grey head bobs, whistles, and talk in my voice at me. He's also getting better about eating good foods. (My IRN helped there, by showing that veggies are yummy.) And does enjoy a head scratch from time to time. Doesn't bite much at all.
