A Disturbing National Geographic Article About the Trade of Wild African Greys

Here's is a truly disturbing National Geographic article about the trade of wild caught African Greys. It shows how CITES quotas and sustainable practices have to be enforced through out the range of the African Grey Parrot. I was not antiquated with how large the African Grey parrots range used to be and now what it has been reduced too. However it is absolutely a species that would be a great candidate for restoration and reintroduction. My last parrot I owned was an African Grey named Gabriel and watching this video I would hate to consider putting him through anything similar to what the birds in this article went through.

Thanks for sharing the article, I read one in the smithsonian about the trade of macaws and it was very cruel and disturbing as well I should see if I can find it:).
