Yesterday my world came tumbling down, I am absolutely shattered.
A close family member informed me he is gravely ill.

I spend the day crying trying to accept it and to be strong.

Mishka sat there quietly observing my every movement.

During the afternoon Mishka sat on my lap giving me so many kisses.

After a while Mishka said to me "Mommy what's wrong?"

I replied "Mommy is okay Mishka"

Mishka - "Why is mommy crying why"

Mommy - "Mommy is sad Mishka"

Mishka - "Oh shame mommy is sore, I am sorry mommy"

Needless to say he brought me to tears, just knowing he knows when I am sad and he is so caring.

Bless his beautiful caring soul

I know Mishka will be there for me when most needed.
When my mom passed away 4 years all he wanted to do was sit on my lap, never said a word, just gave me comfort.

They are extremely empathetic and a great comfort to us, no doubt about that. Very sorry to hear about your relative but keep your hopes up, medicine does incredible things nowadays.

I'm so sorry about your family member, but am happy to know Mishka is bringing you a little caring and understanding.

My Grey, Harlow, just turned four. She also understands when something is wrong but doesn't have her words "in order" to ask correctly. You can be as sad as can be and here "Mom? Being ok?" and suddenly your worries don't seem as bad.
