What is considered standard or better for an African Grey? Size, bar spacing, width of the bars, etc..... If possible, what are the best type of materials and manufacturer? What else should I look for? Top play areas? Seed trays around the bottom? What is necessary? What works? Easiest to clean?
Thank you for the info!!!!

2 cockatiels
Generally 1/2" to 1" bar spacing is fine, although I'd go on the smaller side for a tenmeh. I keep Rosie(galah cockatoo) in a cage with 1" bar spacing and she has a pretty petite head that cannot fit between the bars.

30"-30", or 36" x 24" are both considered a alright size for African greys. Bigger is always better though.

As big as you can afford to get it, thick and sturdy wires and no more than 1 inch spacing.

Rocky...Yellow Crown Amazon....

Smokey Congo Grey....

Shamrock Male Eclectus.......

Baby Female Congo Grey.....
Cookie.....Aztec Conure
Smokey is in a 36 inch cage and I think the bar spacing is 3/4 and it works good for him , my other 2 are in 36inch with 1inch bar spacing and thicker bars

Actually I met a blue quaker parrot yesterday at a pet store....(not where I would like to meet a potential pet....but....) it was a special order that wasn't picked up. It was soooo sweet & cuddly. Problem is $800.00 is extremely over-priced. I did a quick research and didn't even see a breeder for blue quakers in Michigan, but they average around $200.00 elsewhere....ugh.....Still would prefer to go the rescue route....any ideas? I like both type of birds (African Gray for their intelligence and interaction) and can have 2 birds if I desire.... I do know that I'm not fond of conures...bad experiences around 2 that I have known and their noisy screech is harsh on the ears....I know all birds are noisy, but not so high-pitched and continuous.....any thoughts????
