African Grey throwing a ball : Mishka

Below is a link showing Mishka picking up a ball and throwing it on command.
I placed 3 table tennis balls at the bottom of Mishka's cage.

When cleaning I picked up the balls and threw them around saying
pick up the ball - throw the ball
After a few days, she started picking up the balls and throwing them around when asked to.

Absolutely adorable and what a good trick. I taught Rosie to drop things into a container on command and of course she works for cheese. Greys are soooooooooooo smart!! Mom Mishka is smart too.

SB you are a wonderful teacher and guardian to Rosie Alexandra....
The trick is to make is simple enough for them to catch on.
Showing a bird how to do it over and over again, shows them how to do it.
Just like talking, repetition is so important.

Can't find any blocks here is South Africa, can you believe it. Ones where I could teach her to place them in. LOOKED EVERYWHERE BUT I NEVER GIVE UP
