Congo African Grey: Russell Peters (R.I.P. my baby)
So I've been noticing lately that everytime my Husband hugs, kisses or cuddles with me on the couch Russell starts to pick up his food and flick it with his beak all over the place and if looks could kill, well I'd be a widow! He stops doing it when I move away from him.
I know that I am his favorite person and he only kisses me which upsets my Hubby but how do I curb this behaviour? Obviously I can't stop being affectionate with my Hubby but I don't want Russell to be upset either, not to mention the waste! Ever since he started this behaviour I have purchased twice the amount of pellets I normally do.
I noticed this started happening about a week ago, not last weekend but the one before.
Does anyone have any feedback on why he may be doing this and how to curb it?

So with that said, I'm really excited about the possible addition to our family with the Sun Conure but maybe it wouldn't be best right now.

Thanks..... April

Dusty: Dusky Conure
I had/ have a similar situation with my Conure Dusty. Dusty throws his food when I leave him for long periods of time or when he wants attention and is not getting it. Unfortunately I go away to school and Dusty stays with my parents during this time. I hate leaving him and I have not yet been able to curb his food throwing while i am not home, but I have for when I am home. I take him out of his cage more often or encourage my family to take him out. A lot of his food throwing is a cry for attention so i give him attention before the throwing starts. This works well when i am home. He only likes coming out of his cage for my mom or me so when my brother wants to hold him either my mom or i take him out for my brother otherwise Dusty bites my brother.

You are your Birds Special someone and well he doesnt want to share that. Try to include him in different activities with your husband.

Share the love LoL
When I kiss my sons, Mishka gets really upset !!!!!
Now when kissing them, I first go to her, give her a kiss, and scratch her head.
The rule is ONE FOR THE BIRD ONE FOR HUBBY
Take care, and that of our feathered friends !!!!
