Hi, Everyone
Thanks for letting me join the Forum
I have had different Birds in the past, but now own 2 Congo African Greys
I have had Austin the Male for 8 years I took him in when my Aunt Passed away, I Recently over the past summer also came across my female Rudy through mutual friends due to her original owners health issues & is in & out of the hospital & no longer could take care of her. when i first brought her home i put her in our other room away from Austin but where he could see her & hear her, then have moved her in the same room now right beside each other they had been talking to each other & stuff, i had let Austin out of his cage & he later that day got on her cage i had her locked in just in case they would fight, well he does try to attack her, & has not stopped. so its always one out of the cage & other in cage. i take turns on letting them out, i have read different sites about introducing them to each other & i try to interact with them at same time, question is, does anyone else have any info. on how to get them to like each other if they will

Hmm, I was first thinking territoriality, but you say he went on HER cage to try to attack her. Sounds like they've lived with each other long enough. Did you try introducing them in neutral territory like an unfamiliar room? Maybe someone will have a creative idea for you to try.
Or, the answer just might be like asking "how do I get these two people to become friends?" Sometimes we can't ;) Then we just have to supervise when they're out since the cages are within reach of each other. Good luck.

Thanks for info. I know for sure Austin is a male, was just told Rudy was a girl, was gonna get her DNA, was told on another site to try & put them on a play stand together that way there not on there own cage which is there territory, so i'm gonna try that & see what happens. hopefully get good results & go from there. :)
