Can anyone tell me IF birds cry !!!!!

Mishka is happy and content being on her playpen. :grey:
We chat, play and interact, for ages.
Whenever I leave the room, she talks for a few moments then becomes very quiet.
After a while she calls me Mom Mommy Mom, I reply, telling her I am coming back now.
She then gives a few whistles.
THEN the birdie squeak starts, It sounds like she is crying. Hard to describe the sound. :11:
No I am not crazy LoL, honestly it reminds me of a child crying for his mother.
My son Steven is convinced that Mishka is crying for "mommy"

Any of your birds react this way ??? :53:

Absolutely!!! I was waiting for a thread like this one.

My boys 'cry' when I leave the room, and it's so cute! Pineapple's is more of a low whining sound, while sunshine will break down and start crying!

It's good to know I'm not the ony one, it must be normal.

mmm well this sounds to be familiar...once i was playing with my bird...after like a while i beleive that i felt my parrot somehow got bored or wanted to get back to its cage....but whenever she wanted to like escape the playing area if we can say so...i block her way out...note that she cannot fly since she didnt discover this trait so far lol...anyway i kept blocking her way out until she went back to the wall and turned around to face it and sounding that baby cry mimic...i felt sry for her and let it go...she went directly to her cage and start eating...i guess she hated me for this haha...anyway i guess yes they do cry but ofcourse no tears!
