Hi everyone! I've been interested in getting an african grey for quite some time now and ive been looking online to gather as much info as i can about them. and one Thing i came across was that their calcium needs are different then other parrots. so I'm pretty confused on what to feed them so they get the calcium they need. ive come across a few different pellets and other things for them. so i wanted to get your guys' opinions. I was thinking about feeding them this food-http://www.mybirdstore.com/product.cgi?group=232972&product=241687 along with this-
The Herb Salad: Medicinal herbs that birds actually like to eat! and of course lots of fruits and veggies. so basivly what im asking is if i need them the food above along with the herbsalad and veggies/fruits. what that be enough for their calcium needs? any other input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a lovely diet to me, and it really sounds like you care. I'm impressed!

All that I would add is a fresh cuttlebone, keep it available at all times. Cuttlebone is rich in calcium, and also keeps the beak well-groomed.

I was going to add something else but I forgot already. :D

We have lots of info. on greys here on the forum. Good that you are reading on their nutritional needs. I have read in several books and learned in conferences that cuddle bones are not so good for the greys but I do not remember why and my resources are all packed as I am moving soon. One addition I suggest is to give them cracked egg shells when you feed hard boiled eggs once or twice per week. Also I suggest Harrisons Pellets and several experts have told me. The herb salad looks wonderful. I have bought similar foods and wasted the lot because Rosie just seems to flick them all over the place when she does not like something. Where are you getting your grey, a baby or an adopted one?
